Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are set to lock horns with Mumbai Indians (MI) in match No. 41 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, April 29.

The Orange Army might have had a tough start to their campaign, losing three out of their first four matches. However, they have been on a four-match winning streak since then. In their most recent encounter, they made light work of a 229-run target against the Rajasthan Royals, chasing it in 18.3 overs with five wickets to spare.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, need to hit their straps, having faced five defeats in seven matches. The five-time champions are languishing in ninth position in the standings. In their last game, they were outclassed by arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings. The Men in Yellow amassed 207/6 in the first innings before dismissing Mumbai for 104.

Here’s SRH’s predicted Playing XI vs MI in Match 41, IPL 2026

Top-order: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head (IMP), Ishan Kishan

Abhishek Sharma has been in surreal form and is the current Orange Cap holder. He has amassed 380 runs in eight innings at an average of 54.29 and a strike rate of 212.30. The southpaw has three fifties and one century to his name. Meanwhile, his opening partner, Travis Head, hasn’t been at his best. The Australian batter is averaging just 23.25. Ishan Kishan has also played some fantastic cricket, carrying his form from the T20 World Cup. He has scored 312 runs in eight innings and is striking at 198.73.

Middle-order: Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora (WK), Aniket Verma, Nitish Kumar Reddy

Heinrich Klaasen has been consistently doing well for his team this season. He has amassed 349 runs in eight innings at an average of 49.86 at a strike rate of 149.76. Klaasen has notched up three fifties so far. Salil Arora and Aniket Verma have shown glimpses of their talent but have not hit top gear so far. Nitish Kumar Reddy has impressed not just with the bat but also with the ball. He is averaging 28.67 with the bat and has a strike rate of 167. With the ball, he has picked up five wickets at an average of 39.40.

Bowlers: Pat Cummins (C), Shivang Kumar, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge, Eshan Malinga

Pat Cummins’ return came as a huge shot in the arm for the Sunrisers. In the last game, he bowled wonderfully, showing no signs of rust. Cummins’ experience will help his side stay grounded despite the stunning results in recent games. Shivang Kumar has blown hot and cold, but that is understandable for a young wrist spinner making his debut in the IPL. He will have a key role to play through the middle overs on Wednesday.

Sakib Hussain went for 62 runs in his four overs in the last game. However, he had bowled magnificently before that and would hope to come back strongly. Praful Hinge was excellent in his debut this season but has since then failed to make much of an impact. His economy rate of 11.92 is worrisome. Eshan Malinga has been the standout bowler for the Sunrisers. In eight games, he has picked up 14 wickets at an average of 9.44.
