Punjab Kings (PBKS) wicketkeeper batter Prabhsimran Singh appeared to shut down recent rumours surrounding the franchise camp after sharing a bold social media post in the middle of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Over the last couple of days, multiple reports claimed that Punjab Kings’ recent slump in form was linked to poor discipline within the squad. The reports alleged that several players were spending late nights gaming, missing training sessions, and failing to maintain fitness standards, which supposedly contributed to the team’s four-match losing streak after a strong start to the campaign.

One particular claim that caught attention suggested that Prabhsimran had gained “10 kilos in seven days”. However, the wicketkeeper-batter responded in his own style by posting a shirtless picture on social media, seemingly from a waterfall in Dharamsala, flaunting his physique. He also added a ‘🤫’ emoji to the post, sending a clear message to those spreading what the franchise described as false narratives.

Earlier on Wednesday, PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta strongly denied the reports, calling them baseless and misleading. The franchise maintained that the atmosphere within the camp remains positive despite the recent setbacks, wherein they have lost their four recent matches following an unbeaten start to the campaign.

Prabhsimran has been one of PBKS’ standout performers this season. The aggressive opener has scored 382 runs from 11 matches and currently stands as the team’s second-highest run-getter behind Cooper Connolly.

Despite their dip in form, PBKS are still firmly in contention for a playoff spot. The Shreyas Iyer-led side currently sits fourth on the IPL 2026 points table with six wins from 11 matches. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have climbed to third after a strong turnaround in recent games, while Gujarat Titans lead the standings ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Iyer & Co. will now take on the five-time champions Mumbai Indians on May 14 at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala, in their upcoming fixture. A win is needed for them to stay alive in the competition, whereas Hardik Pandya’s MI are already eliminated.
