IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants’ strongest predicted XI against Rajasthan Royals

The Lucknow Super Giants take on the Rajasthan Royals in Match 32 of the 2026 Indian Premier League at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The Super Giants are coming off losses in their last three games, and return to their home venue, where they have failed to win a match in 2026. While their bowling attack has shown promise, their batting is yet to fire, with multiple batters getting starts but failing to convert them into big scores. They are in dire need of a victory and face an in-form Royals side that is also looking to return to winning ways.

Here is LSG’s strongest predicted XI vs RR in Match 32:

Top order: Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant (C & WK)

Aiden Markram LSG

The pair of Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram has got starts but has not been able to convert those into big scores. The Super Giants have seen some chopping and changing in their ranks, with Markram batting at number 5 against the Kings. But with the gravity of the clash coming up, Markram is expected to slot in at the top of the order.

Rishabh Pant has now become a permanent feature at the top of the order at number 3, but is yet to deliver. He has one 50+ score, which came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He looked more fluent as he scored a 23-ball 43 against the Punjab Kings. The Super Giants will be hoping their skipper returns to form to save their season.

Middle order: Matthew Breetzke, Ayush Badoni, Mukul Choudhary, Himmat Singh (Impact)

The form of Nicholas Pooran has been the biggest concern for the Super Giants, as the big-hitting West Indian has scored just 51 runs in six innings. Given that, he is expected to make way for South Africa’s Matthew Breetzke.

Ayush Badoni opened the batting against the Punjab Kings but is expected to return to his spot at number 5. Badoni’s half-century against the Knight Riders set the platform for their chase, as the Delhi batter held the innings together as wickets fell around him.

Mukul Choudhary showed glimpses of his brilliant back-end hitting. A potent six-hitter, Mukul scored an unbeaten 27-ball 54 against the Knight Riders in a match-winning knock. However, his returns have declined since then. Himmat Singh slotted in an impact player, replacing Abdul Samad, who has been out of form.

Lower order/bowlers: Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, Prince Yadav, Manimaran Siddharth, Mohsin Khan

The Super Giants have one of the more balanced bowling attacks in the tournament. Mohammed Shami has looked flawless, bowling in the powerplay and picking up key wickets. The resurgent Mohsin Khan looks back to his best after a long injury layoff. Avesh Khan has been ever reliable in the death overs.

The pick of the bowlers for the Super Giants has been Prince Yadav. The speedster has picked up 11 wickets at an economy of 8.59, and has bowled at pace with control and accuracy. Against the Punjab Kings, he was the only LSG bowler to go at an economy of below 10, as he finished with match figures of 2/25 from his four overs despite the opposition scoring over 254. Manimaran Siddharth picked up two wickets against the Super Giants and is expected to keep his place in the team.

Predicted LSG XI vs RR:

Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant (C & WK), Matthew Breetzke, Ayush Badoni, Mukul Choudhary, Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, Prince Yadav, Manimaran Siddharth, Mohsin Khan

Impact Player: Himmat Singh
