The Gujarat Titans (GT) will look to lift the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 trophy when they take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 31.

The Shubman Gill-led side has been in scintillating form heading into the summit clash. They finished second on the points table only because their net run rate was lower than that of the Royal Challengers, and they bounced back fiercely from a Qualifier 1 setback to dominate Qualifier 2. In their last nine matches, the Titans have registered seven victories, making them a formidable force as they return to their home turf to claim the championship. RCB, on the other, will be looking to defend their title.

Here is GT’s strongest predicted XI for Final vs RCB:

Top order: Shubman Gill (C), B Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (WK)

GT’s biggest strength has been this top-order of Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler, and Jos Buttler. The trio has accumulated 1939 runs for the team so far in IPL 2026. The opening duo of Gill and Sudharsan is one of the most successful opening pairs in the history of the league already, and are among the highest run getters of the tournament. Despite having a below-par season with the bat, Jos Buttler at number 3 gives immense confidence and stability to this side. He will also keep wickets.

Middle order: Nishant Sindhu, Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Rahul Tewatia (imp)

Nishant Sandhu is an exciting young talent from Haryana, and gives this side a left-handed option with the bat. On the other hand, Washington Sundar adds immense value with his all-round ability. The left-hander has scored 327 runs this season, with two fifty-plus scores with the bat. He has not been used much with the ball, but remains a handy option with the ball.

Jason Holder, since his inclusion in the starting XI has been a tremendous contributor. The tall all-rounder gives GT a stability with his vast experience in the format. In a high pressure game, Holder can be a valuable asset. Rahul Tewatia will come in as an impact sub, and is finding his form with the bat.

Lower order/bowlers: Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj

Rashid Khan will lead GT’s bowling line-up with his mystery spin. The Afghanistan spinner has picked up 19 wickets so far. He had a horrid outing against RR in Qualifier 2, and will look to bounce back in the finals. R Sai Kishore also is one good spin option to have in the side.

Whereas the trio of Kagiso Rabada, Siraj, and Prasidh is an added advantage for them. Rabada is the Purple Cap holder currently, picking up 28 wickets so far. On a familiar Ahmedabad pitch, the GT bowling line-up is a deadly prospect.

Predicted GT XI for Final vs RCB:

Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Jos Buttler(wk), Nishant Sindhu, Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Kagiso Rabada, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj

Impact Player: Rahul Tewatia
