Dharamshala, one of the most picturesque venues in the country, could not witness a full game happen on Thursday, and both the Board of Control for Cricket in India released an apology stating its regret on the trouble caused to all the in-stadium attendees for the game. Though the official word from the organizers confirms a technical failure, Rajeev Shukla, the board vice president appeared on media, and his statement hints at a possible safety concern.

“We are organising a special train from close to Dharamshala to bring everybody home safely. As of now the match has been called off and the stadium has been evacuated. We will take a call on the tournament’s future depending on the situation tomorrow. As of now, players’ safety is utmost important. The match couldn’t have continued tonight because of the situation. It wasn’t safe,” Shukla said as per The Times of India.
