In an exciting Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 36 runs to reach the finals of the season.

SRH, batting first put up a score of 175/9 on board against the Royals with Heinrich Klaasen scoring 50 off 34 balls with a strike rate of 147.06, Rahul Tripathi 37 off 15 balls and Travis Head 34 runs off 28 balls. The opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head has not been striking since their last game and in this crucial match as well Sharma lost his wicket too early in the game when SRH were at just 13 runs. On the other hand, Trent Boult shone yet again by taking 3 wickets in the game against SRH.

Chasing the target of 176 runs in 20 overs, RR started off strong. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 42 runs off 21 balls with a strike rate of 200 and Dhruv Jurel stood up for the team till the end and scored 56 runs off 35 balls. It was hard luck for the Royals to be knocked out of IPL 2024 from Qualifier 2. Shahbaz Ahmed was the standout bowler for the Sunrisers Hyderabad as with an economy of 5.75 he took 3 wickets in his four overs.

It looks like Pat Cummins is not leaving anything to be won as a captain in the game. IPL final, World T20 Championship, and the 50-over Cricket  World Cup. A second chance to emerge victorious. A fantastic moment for the man from New South Wales personally.
