Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on each other in Match 66 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on (Thursday) May 16. While SRH are coming off a resounding victory in their previous game, GT are stepping into the upcoming contest with a nothing-to-lose attitude. SRH need a sole victory to cement their playoff spot and outcasted GT will surely try their best to end their season on a high and spoil the party for the 2016 champions.
The Hyderabad-based franchise is currently in the fourth spot on the points table with seven triumphs in 12 games, and the Titans are languishing in the eighth position in the standings. With the hopes of finishing in the top two spots, SRH would be desperate to register a win and climb up the ladder. On the other hand, the 2022 champions would love to end their campaign with a win.

However, despite the potential rain interruption, a result is still expected in the game.
What will happen if SRH vs GT game is washed out?
In case of SRH vs GT tie being washed out, both teams will earn a point each and their net run-rate (NRR) will remain unchanged. A win for SRH will take them to the third spot on the table, further solidifying their chances in the IPL 2024 Playoffs race. In case of Shubman Gill & Co winning, the visitors will gain nothing but pride since they are already eliminated from the competition.
