Shreyas Iyer, who is captaining Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the second time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, wowed fans with some fancy footwork as he danced to popular Bollywood chartbuster ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ at an event.

Shreyas has been through some tumultuous times of late. He didn’t get a BCCI contract after he skipped playing matches for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy 2024. However, he returned for the semifinals and finals and scored a 111-ball 95 in the summit clash to help Mumbai win a record-extending 42nd title. Currently, the right-handed batter is captaining the two-time winners, KKR, in the 17th edition of the coveted tournament.

The Knight Riders started their IPL 2024 campaign with a home match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the iconic Eden Gardens on Saturday, March 23. The humdinger of a contest was won by the hosts by four runs after they posted 208/7 in the first innings. However, Shreyas didn’t have a memorable outing with the bat as he was dismissed by T Natarajan for a two-ball duck. This was the 29-year-old’s first IPL match since 2022 as he missed last the last edition due to his back injury. He will look to get back among the runs when Kolkata take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their next game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday, March 29.
