In the 67th game of the Indian Premier League 2024, Mumbai Indians would play host to the Lucknow Super Giants in what is the final game of the season for both teams. Lucknow Super Giants have a slight shot at still qualifying for the playoffs next week. However, they need a massive win that can help boost their NRR and then only can they climb up the table.

Mumbai Indians have already been eliminated but would be hoping to ruin the party for the other teams. They would be looking to end their poor campaign with at least a victory in their final encounter. Ahead of this enthralling encounter at the Wankhede stadium between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, let’s take a look at the top 3 players to watch out for.

Here are the top three player battles to watch out for ahead of MI vs LSG clash:

3. Suryakumar Yadav vs Ravi Bishnoi

This year has not gone according to Suryakumar Yadav since he first missed the initial few matches of the season. Since coming into the team, if he is settled he can surely close the deal for the Mumbai Indians. However, he has been dismissed early on, on quite a few occasions this season which was a cause of concern for Team India as well as the franchise. Nonetheless, he is still the number one T20I batter in the world and can surely change the tide of the match with his 360-degree shot range.

The task to get Suryakumar Yadav out cheaply might be given to Team India leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi. The spinner is the second-highest-ranked Indian bowler currently and would be raring to showcase his talents since he has not made the team for the T20 World Cup 2024. By scalping the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav, it would surely be a statement performance from the leg-spinner that he should have been a part of the Team India squad as well.

2. Rohit Sharma vs Mohsin Khan

It has not been an ideal campaign with the bat for Rohit Sharma despite the great start that he had for the season. He is still searching for form and would want to play a great knock ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 to assure everyone that the batter can still play amazing knocks for his team.

The task of stopping the Team India skipper might be handed to left-arm seamer Mohsin Khan. He has been having a decent campaign but taking the wicket of one of Indian cricket’s stalwarts would surely be a boost to his confidence. This battle will decide which side has the early momentum and can surely shape up the proceedings for the rest of the match.

1. KL Rahul vs Jasprit Bumrah

This has not been the ideal season for KL Rahul and his team and the skipper’s form has also come into question off late. During the final league game of the season, the Lucknow Super Giants captain would hope for an amazing innings and look to prove his critics wrong once again.

But it would not be an easy task since he would have to face the best bowler in the world, Jasprit Bumrah. The Team India pacer is in the form of his life and has been scalping wickets on a regular basis for the franchise. The speedster would be hoping for a great final game of the season and taking the wicket of the opposition skipper would surely be his priority.
