PBKS vs CSK in match 53 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Sunday, May 05, 2024, at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, in Dharamsala. Dharamsala is hosting the first match of IPL 2024. Kings played their first five home games in Mullanpur and will play their first home game in Dharamsala. In the ongoing tournament, the Kings have won four matches and lost six matches so far. They are currently in seventh place in the points table. However, Punjan would like to continue their winning momentum against Chennai.

On the other hand, the Super Kings have won five matches and also lost five matches so far. They are currently in fifth place in the points table. Thus, the Super Kings would like to come back to their winning momentum. Super Kings would like to take revenge for the previous encounter between these two held in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. This will be an important game for both teams with respect to the future of the tournament.

Speaking about the last game of the Punjab Kings, Jonny Bairstow 46(30) played superb innings which helped the Kings to chase the small target early. Rilee Rossouw 43(23) also played fantastic innings and gave excellent support to Bairstow. Kings also got support from other batters, as a result, they chased the target within 18 overs.

Speaking of the bowling of the Kings, Rahul Chahar (4-0-16-2) bowled beautifully which helped Punjab Kings to restrict Super Kings to a small total. Harpreet Brar (4-0-17-2) also bowled superbly and gave excellent support to Rahul Chahar. These spin twins didn’t concede a single boundary. Kings also got support from other bowlers, as a result, they restricted Super Kings to a very small total of 162. Kings will be hoping all these players to continue their good form.

Speaking about the last game of the Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad 62(48) played magnificent innings which helped them get over the collapse and pushed the Super Kings to post a decent total of 162. He did not get good support from other batters as Super Kings had a poor outing with the bat.

Speaking of the bowling of Indians, Mustafizur Rahman (4-1-22-0) bowled beautifully and was economical but failed to take the wickets. Richard Gleeson (3.5-0-30-1) bowled beautifully, which kept Super Kings in the game. But Super Kings did not get support from other bowlers, as a result, they failed to defend a small target. Super Kings will be hoping all these players will continue their good form and get good support from other batters, especially top-order batters.
