Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be hosting Gujarat Titans in Match No. 52 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
GT are ninth, whereas RCB find themselves at the bottom most on the table. After a dismal start to the season, the Bengaluru-based franchise slowly seem to be getting into thr grove with back-to-back wins. Gujarat, on the other hand, lost both their previous games, eventually dragging themselves back in the Playoffs race.
In the previous fixture between the two, RCB came off flying colours after Virat Kohli continued his merry run alongside Will Jacks. The latter went on to score a century off just 41 deliveries, which helped his side come home with four overs to spare.
With the smaller boundary dimensions and batter-friendly surface at Chinnaswamy, it is expected that the hosts will be looking to take maximum advantage of the home conditions.
The last time these two teams played at the venue, on May 21, 2023, Kohli whacked a classic century to post a huge total on the board. However, it was Shubman Gill’s scintillating ton in reply that propelled GT to a win in the last league stage game of the 16th edition. Thus, a mouth watering clash between the two teams can be expected when they take centre-stage.
