IPL 2024: Match 37, PBKS vs GT – Stats Preview of Players’ Records and Approaching Milestones

Punjab Kings (PBKS) will lock horns with Gujarat Titans (SRH) in match 37 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium, in Mullanpur, Punjab. In the ongoing tournament, the Kings have won two matches and lost five matches so far. They are currently in ninth place in the points table, thus, the Kings would like to come back to their winning momentum. On the other hand, the Titans have won three matches and lost four matches so far. They are currently in eighth place in the points table. Thus, the Titans also would like to come back to their winning momentum. Titans would like to take revenge for the previous encounter between these two held in Narendra Modi stadium earlier this tournament. This will be an important game for both teams in perspective of the future of the tournament.

Speaking about the last game of the Punjab Kings, After the top-order collapse, Shashank Singh 41(25) played superb innings but got out at the wrong time. In the end, Ashutosh Sharma 61(28) played magnificent innings and impressed everyone again for the fourth time keeping the Kings in the game till the final over and his wicket was a turning point in the game. But, apart from these two, they didn’t get support from other batters, especially from top-order batters. Speaking about the bowlers, Harshal Patel (4-0-31-3) bowled beautifully and helped the Kings to restrict MI under 200. But he didn’t get good support from other bowlers. Kings will be hoping that all these continue their good form and good support from other bowlers and also other batters, especially from top-order batters as well.

Speaking about the last game of the Titans, they had a poor outing with the bat and got all out for just 89. Rashid Khan 31(24) who played well helped them to escape from getting all out for the lowest runs in the IPL. Speaking about the bowlers, Rashid Khan (2-0-12-1) bowled beautifully and put a small break in where the DC batters were going all guns blazing to better NRR. But there were no runs on the board for the Titans to apply pressure and defend the score. Titans will be hoping that he continues his good form and a decent outing with bat, good support from other batters and also other bowlers as well.
