IPL 2024: Match 35, DC vs SRH – Stats Preview of Players’ Records and Approaching Milestones

Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 35 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, in Delhi. 

Capitals will be playing their first match of IPL 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. In the ongoing tournament, the Capitals have won three and lost four matches. They are currently in sixth place in the points table. Thus, the Capitals would like to continue their winning momentum.

On the other hand, the Sunrisers have won four matches and lost two matches so far. They are currently in fourth place. Thus, the Sunrisers would like to continue their winning momentum. This will be an important game for both teams in perspective of the future of the tournament.

Speaking about the last game of the Capitals, Jake Fraser-McGurk 20 (10) smashed which helped the Capitals to chase the small target very quickly. All batters came in with the intent to score quickly finish the game early to improve their NRR.

Speaking about the bowlers, Mukesh Kumar (2.3-0-14-3), Ishant Sharma (2-0-8-2) and Khaleel Ahmed (4-1-18-1) bowled excellently which helped Capitals to restrict Titans to 89 which was their lowest total in the IPL. Rishabh Pant was fantastic behind the stumps and also spot-on with his captaincy which got him a Player Of The Match award. 

Speaking about the last game of the Sunrisers, Travis Head 102 (41) played a magnificent innings and smashed his first IPL ton. Along with him, Heinrich Klaasen 67(31) played a fabulous knock and continued his great form this year and also in the ongoing tournament.

In the end, Abdul Samad 37(10) played a superb finishing innings which helped the Sunrisers to post a huge total of 287 which is the highest team total in the history of IPL. The Sunrises broke their record which was created a few days earlier.

Speaking about the bowlers, Skipper Pat Cummins (4-0-43-3) bowled beautifully and continued his great form in the ongoing tournament he took wickets at the right time when RCB were going beautifully in the chase. Mayank Markande (4-0-46-2) who also bowled well gave good support to Cummins and helped Sunrisers to defend the target.
