IPL 2024: DC vs SRH Match 35 – Top 3 player battles to watch out for

As the Indian Premier League slowly chugs past the halfway mark of the tournament. In the next few weeks, some huge games have the potential to change the dynamics of the ongoing (Indian Premier League) IPL 2024 points table. 

Notably, Delhi Capitals (DC) will return to their home base Arun Jaitley Stadium to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a key encounter. Currently, DC are placed in the sixth spot on the IPL points tally with six points from seven games and have won their last two games. 

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have shown supreme form so far and won three games in succession to be placed fourth in the IPL points table. Pat Cummins and his side scored a whopping 287 from 20 overs against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their previous game. Hence, a high-octane is expected in the upcoming fixture as the fans will get to see some sumptuous battle between some prominent batters and bowlers.

3. Kuldeep Yadav versus Heinrich Klaasen

Delhi Capitals have found a new dynamic since the return of Kuldeep Yadav to the team. The 29-year-old has been economical and also picked key wickets for his team. His biggest test comes when he bowls to South African star Heinrich Klaasen. 

The IPL 2024 has seen the emergence of Heinrich Klaasen as a destroyer of the bowling attacks. SRH have done well to send him at number four or number five depending on the situation. This new role has enabled Klaasen to become a batting enforcer and put the pressure back on the opposition with his brutal hitting.

2. Pat Cummins versus Rishabh Pant

It has been a great comeback for Rishabh Pant to cricket as he has done well in all facets of the game so far. The 26-year-old is a key player for Delhi Capitals with the bat as well as with his wicket-keeping and decision-making. In the match against Gujarat Titans, Pant showed why he has grown as a leader with his ruthless tactics that won his side the game.

Pat Cummins is continuing to prove why he is called the best captain in the world. The Australian has let his players be as expressive as they can be on the field which has been evident from the results. Pat Cummins will want to bowl to Rishabh Pant in the middle overs to negate the threat the Delhi skipper could bring with his explosive batting.

Travis Head has been one of the most dangerous batters in the IPL and this was proved once again against RCB. The left-handed opener scored a quick-fire ton to give his team the much-needed impetus in the first few overs of the game.
