India became the second men’s team to feature in 300 T20Is on Saturday, October 24, 2026, reaching the milestone during the second T20I against New Zealand at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The occasion proved even more memorable as India won the match to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Pakistan remain the only team ahead of India on the all-time list, having played 304 T20Is. The two Asian sides are the only men’s teams to have crossed the 300-match mark in the format, underlining their sustained presence in international T20 cricket.
How does India’s T20I tally compare with other leading nations?
India have won 206 of their 300 T20Is, losing 83 matches, tying seven and finishing 10 games without a result. Their record highlights their consistency in the shortest format, with the team reaching the landmark after years of regular international competition.
Pakistan, meanwhile, have recorded 176 wins, 116 defeats, four ties and eight no-result matches in 304 appearances. Despite playing four more matches than India, they have registered fewer victories.
New Zealand are third on the list with 269 T20Is, followed by West Indies with 260 and Sri Lanka with 243. The Black Caps were India’s opponents in the match that brought up the landmark, making the occasion particularly significant.
