Star Australian batter Travis Head is undoubtedly one of the best batters in the ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024. Opening for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Head has attacked the bowlers right from the get-go and put in magnificent performances, leading the side to the knockout rounds of the tournament as well.

After the conclusion of the IPL, Head will be travelling to the USA and the West Indies as he will participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 for Australia, and compatriot David Warner recently came forward and hoped that Head will continue his form in the World Cup as well.

Notably, Head has scored 533 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 199.63 and has built an excellent partnership alongside SRH batter Abhishek Sharma. Seeing his performances, Warner revealed that he hopes for Head’s performances to continue in Australia as well.

“Hopefully he doesn’t waste too many more runs over there and can save some for us. Hopefully he can finish his tournament off well there and bring some of that success to our team,” Warner told the Sydney Morning Herald.

The experience for him will be great: Warner on Jake Fraser-McGurk

Furthermore, David Warner talked about Australia youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk. The youngster shared the dressing room of Delhi Capitals alongside Warner and had a breakthrough season, scoring 330 runs at a strike rate of 234.04.

“The experience for him (at the T20 World Cup) will be great and being around the guys and the group where potentially I feel like he’ll probably go on that England tour in late August, As a young kid, he understands what the game’s about, what it’s like to be around the group as a team player. He asks a lot of questions and he loves the game, which is great,” Warner said.

Notably, the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 could be David Warner’s final international campaign, as the veteran opener has already announced his retirement from Tests and ODIs.
