Virat Kohli is known as one of the finest players to grace the sport. Yet, amidst the runs and records, there’s a side to Kohli that often surprises his teammates and rivals alike – his uncanny belief in his bowling prowess.

Kohli, known for his fiery on-field behavior and relentless competitive spirit, isn’t one to shy away from on-field conflicts. His IPL face-off with Gautam Gambhir in 2023 highlighted his uncompromising attitude. Such characteristics make his teammate’s suggestion intriguing – had he not been a cricketer, Kohli might have excelled in wrestling, as per Indian bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

A recent statement by his Indian teammate shed light on this intriguing facet of Kohli’s cricket persona.

“Virat Kohli thinks he’s the best bowler in the team,” Bhuvneshwar candidly revealed at a Mumbai event. However, this self-assuredness also comes with a tinge of concern. “We’re always scared when he bowls as he could get injured due to his bowling action,” Bhuvneshwar added, alluding to the potential risks of Kohli’s spirited bowling attempts.

Kohli’s cricket career is like a tale of never giving up and loving his country a lot. He always believed in working hard, whether it is sweating in the gym or trying his best in batting. Because of this, he is known not just as a great cricket player, but also a special and interesting person in the sports world.

On the batting front, Kohli‘s feats are remarkable. He’s amassed 76 centuries across formats, second only to the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. While the pursuit of Tendulkar’s record of 100 international centuries was once a possibility, a recent dry period with the bat has cast a shadow.

However, another Tendulkar record is within Kohli’s grasp. In ODIs, Kohli’s career boasts 46 centuries, only three short of Tendulkar’s 49. If Kohli continues his prolific form, breaking the record in the upcoming months seems possible with an Asia Cup and World Cup in line.
