In a heartwarming gesture, former India opener and current East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir extended a generous hand to s*x workers at GB Road by distributing sarees and shawls on the auspicious occasion of Pran Pratishtha for Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The former cricket also expressed his joy and stated that there couldn’t be a more fitting day for such a noble act. Gambhir emphasized the need for the nation to thrive by embodying the principles of Lord Ram.

Simultaneously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya and completed the consecration of the new idol of Lord Ram. The Ram Mandir, beyond its physical form, stands as a symbol of cultural and religious resurgence, dedicated to the revered deity in Hinduism. The temple attracts pilgrims nationwide, and its consecration by PM Modi adds a contemporary chapter to Ayodhya’s historical and spiritual legacy.

“Lord Ram has come today. The Ram Temple has been inaugurated so I want to congratulate every Indian. Ram belongs to everyone. Today we have distributed sarees and shawls to women who are part of the society. Today is a festival for them too. Lord Ram belongs to them also. Nothing could have been a better day for me than this. The biggest message I would like to give today is that it is very important to follow the paths which are ideals of Lord Ram, only then this country will progress,” Gambhir was quoted as saying by Latestly.

Gambhir playing it the gentlemen’s way on political pitch

In a reminiscent innings from the political pitch, Gautam Gambhir presented his constituency’s report card last year and showcased a towering 20-foot smog tower installation and the reduction in Ghazipur landfill site height among other impactful developmental initiatives since his election in May 2019. Much like a cricket captain updating his team on progress, Gambhir asserted his duty to keep his constituents informed about the strides made for their welfare.

The cricketer-turned-politician, displaying a commitment reminiscent of his on-field tenacity, donated his salary for the renovation of various public spaces. The comprehensive report also highlighted the southpaw’s benevolent off-field play, which included substantial COVID-19 relief efforts such as distributing 5 lakh food packets, 5,000 PPE kits, and 40,000 masks to aid migrants affected by the lockdown.
