Star India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been enjoying his time in the US. The youngster was part of the squad that travelled to the US for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, and capturing every moment of his trip, Jaiswal took to Instagram to post a glimpse of his visit to Garden City in New York.

After the post went viral on Instagram, Jaiswal’s teammate Suryakumar Yadav took to the comments and came up with a hilarious take on his post. Notably, during the England Test in Vizag in early 2024, skipper Rohit Sharma was captured on the stump mic telling the players- “Koi bhi garden ghoomta nhi dikhna chahiye (No one should stroll in the garden).”

Recalling the same incident, Yadav decided to pull up the youngster with a friendly banter. Furthermore, apart from Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja was also seen commenting on Jaiswal’s post, writing, “Jawaan.”

“Sambhal ke. Garden me ghoomega tho pata hai na (Be careful. You know the consequence of strolling in the garden),” Yadav wrote in comments section while reacting to Jaiswal’s post.

Wasim Jaffer wants Yashasvi Jaiswal to open for India in T20 WC

The Indian team will aim to get their hands on the T20 World Cup. The marquee event is all set to kick off on June 2 and will be co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies. As India prepares for their first game of the T20 World Cup, the side will be expected to open with the duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma.

However, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and opined that Team India should look to open with the duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli, with skipper Rohit Sharma moving down to the middle order.

Kohli & Jaiswal should open in the World Cup imo. Rohit & SKY should bat 3&4 depending on the start we get. Rohit plays spin really well so batting at 4 shouldn’t be a concern. #T20WorldCup #INDvPAK #INDvIRE pic.twitter.com/nMgwwaDNXb

It is worth noting that Jaiswal had a subpar season in the recently concluded IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024. Having played 15 matches in the tournament, Jaiswal scored 435 runs to his name, maintaining a strike rate of 155.91 and an average of 31.07 runs. He will aim to improve on his form and perform to the peak of his abilities for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
