Gambhir opens up on buzz around relationship with Virat Kohli

Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir has often caught headlines with his performances. However, the 42-year-old went viral after he was involved in an on-field spat with Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli during the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2023.

However, their spat did not continue in the 17th edition of the tournament, and in a recent clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were seen hugging and sharing a chat on the field, dismissing the rumours of a rift between both players. 

Recently, Gambhir came forward to talk about the spat between him and Kohli, opining that after both of them were seen hugging, the media lost their masala and that they are always on the hunt for TRP. 

“Virat Kohli said the right thing. We hugged, and people lost their masala. They have no clue and no idea what the relationship is between us. They want limelight and TRP from these things,” Gambhir was quoted as saying by the TOI.
