Hosts England have announced their squad for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to be played in June.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is set to lead the 15-member squad for the Lionesses and is to be deputised by Charlie Dean. England have also picked 18-year-old uncapped left-arm spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman, who impressed in the intra-squad matches in South Africa. She is one of three left-arm spinners in the team, alongside Linsey Smith and Sophie Ecclestone. Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn, a regular feature of England’s recent T20 squads, misses out as she is recovering from a broken finger.

Lauren Bell leads the pace attack, backed up by Lauren Filer and Issy Wong. They also have all-rounders Dani Gibson and Freya Kemp to fall back upon. Filer and Wong, along with Corteen-Coleman, make their first-ever T20 World Cup squads. Veteran batter Dani Wyatt-Hodge is set to play in her eighth T20 World Cup.

“There is no doubt that it has been incredibly tough to get to these 15 names. This is the hardest set of selection meetings I have been a part of because the pool of players to choose from is so strong, and so many talented players have put their hand up to be a part of the squad, which is exactly what we want. That is the nature of world-class sport, and it is a privilege we don’t take lightly to be able to make these difficult decisions,” head coach Charlotte Edwards said, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“An ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on home soil is a special moment for the game in this country, and we are all really motivated by what could be ahead for this group of players and what they can achieve this summer,” she added.

England start their campaign against Sri Lanka on June 12, the opening game of the Tournament. Before the start of the competition, the Lionesses host New Zealand Women in a white-ball series and India Women in a T20 series. The same squad will participate in both the T20I series against India and New Zealand.
