Table toppers Desert Vipers (DV) will look to secure their position as the race for the playoffs heats up in Match 24 of the ongoing DP World ILT20 2025. Franchise Gulf Giants (GG) might be placed fifth, but are not out of the competition yet.
The Vipers were handed a massive defeat at the hand of MI Emirates in their last game. English batter Tom Banton made his second hundred of the season and found support in Andre Fletcher’s unbeaten 96 to get MIE (Mumbai Emirates) to 228. DV were never in the chase and were shot out for a paltry 74.
Gulf Giants though, are coming off an excellent win against Sharjah Warriorz and have won two matches in a row now. Giants put up a nice bowling performance to restrict SW to a total that looked below par. Tom Alsop then made an unbeaten 85 to take GG home in the last over.
GG will also be gunning for a comeback after having proved no match for DV in their contest early in the season. James Vince had made an unbeaten 76 in an innings where nine of his teammates were dismissed for single figures, but that target of 120 was just not enough for their bowlers to defend.

05 – English batter Vince also needs five sixes to complete 300 sixes in T20s.

03 – Daniel Worrall needs three wickets to reach 100 T20 wickets.
36 – Alex Hales needs 36 runs to complete 13,500 T20 runs.
04 – Hales also needs four more sixes to complete 550 sixes in T20s.
