Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) missed the unavailability of Phil Salt in their clash against Gujarat Titans, as Jacob Bethell opened alongside Virat Kohli in Match 34 of IPL 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In an update of concern, RCB’s batting coach-cum-mentor Dinesh Karthik has confirmed that Salt will continue to sit out for their upcoming game against Delhi Capitals on Monday, April 27.
Appearing for a media address ahead of the all-important match, Karthik told reporters that the RCB opener will continue to be unavailable for the upcoming clash, with Bethell slated to continue being part of the lineup. Meanwhile, fast bowler Rasikh Salam Dar is also ruled out of the clash against DC, Karthik confirmed further.
