Star Pakistan batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan recently captured all the limelight after the duo became the first cricketers to enrol in Harvard Business School’s executive education programme. Set to embark on a unique journey; the programme would focus its teachings on the BEMS (Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports).

Both batters have already travelled from Karachi to the USA to begin the programme. The classes for the same are scheduled to be held from May 31 to June 3, and both Babar and Rizwan will be attending the classes at the Harvard Business School campus in Boston, Massachusetts.

Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif took to Twitter to confirm the news of Babar and Rizwan travelling to Massachusetts to attend Harvard Business School.

“Harvard beckons Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and mentor Talha Rehmani for the prestigious program. The world’s number one ranked ODI batter and Captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Babar Azam, and wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan, the vice-captain of the Pakistan test cricket team, are the first cricketers to join the Harvard Business School’s executive education programme, on The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS), with their mentor, the Saya Corporation Founder and CEO, Talha Rehmani,” Rashid Latif tweeted.

Furthermore, Babar Azam also talked about how excited he was to be a part of the programme. He also opined that learning about business would help the cricket community make massive strides as well.

“I am a lifelong learner, and I have had detailed chats about this programme with Prof. Elberse and Rehmani. My inspiration for joining this world-class programme at Harvard is to connect, explore, listen, learn, grow, and give back to the community worldwide. I am sure there are scores of things to learn from the amazing athletes and top business executives from the entertainment, media, and sports industries who are coming from corners of the world,” Babar was quoted as saying by Pakistan Cricket.
