Another Sunday calls for another India vs Pakistan clash in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. This will be the second match of the Super Fours and will be played on Sunday, September 21 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai — the same venue as their previous controversial encounter. Both the teams will be playing their first match of the Super Four stage and would be looking to make a mark right away, as each game is as important as anything.

The Indian team started their campaign with a dominating win against the United Arab Emirates, followed by yet another clinical performance against the Men in Green. Their most-recent match against Oman saw them win the game by 21 runs, as they maintained their table-topper’s position in Group A of the Asia Cup 2025 Points Table. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side will now be ready as ever to beat their arch-rivals once again and make a move.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have had their moments of brilliance, beating Oman and the UAE to seal their spot in the Super Four. However, their biggest achievement in this edition has been delaying the scheduled start of a game by one hour after two days of failed negotiations. Nevertheless, the higher authorities have sorted things out, and if Pakistan are actually over it, they may be able to put up a fight on Sunday.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has been offering an even-steven contest for the teams playing here. In six games of Asia Cup 2025 played here, three teams have won while batting first, whereas, the teams batting second, too, have won equivalently, meaning that it completely depends on team strengths and the moisture on the surface on the match day to pick between the two options.
