Andaman and Nicobar set to get BCCI associate membership at September AGM

At its Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on September 18, 2026, the BCCI is set to formally take up the question of granting associate membership to the Cricket Association of Andaman and Nicobar, known as CAAN. The Bombay High Court directed the BCCI to consider CAAN’s affiliation request within four weeks, in connection with an Apex Council meeting held on September 22, 2025. That committee comprised secretary Devajit Saikia, joint secretary and later treasurer Prabhtej Bhatia, and Apex Council member M Khairul Jamal Majumdar.

Alongside the AGM preparations, the BCCI has invited applications to fill five positions on its junior cricket committee.
