In a historic moment at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, Australian cricket stalwart Alyssa Healy etched her name in the record books, becoming the first Australian, male or female, to achieve the remarkable feat of playing 150 T20 internationals.

In the third and final T20I between India and Australia, Healy achieved this significant milestone in women T20Is, joining the elite ranks alongside her rival, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (160 games), New Zealand’s Suzie Bates (152), and England’s Danni Wyatt (151).

Healy, donning the captain’s hat for the Australian side following Meg Lanning’s retirement, celebrated her landmark match with an impressive performance. The Aussie skipper displayed her batting prowess, scoring a superb 55 off just 38 balls, guiding Australia’s women to a resounding seven-wicket victory over India. This victory secured a 2-1 series triumph for the visitors.

Reflecting on the team’s performance, Healy expressed her satisfaction, stating, “The last two games have been clinical. I’m happy with that. I’m proud of our group. When you are chasing a total like that, the quicker you get it down to a run a ball it’s better. It allows the team to get the chase done and if wickets are falling in the middle it makes it easier for those coming on. That’s my job, to get us off to a good start and get the run-rate down,” as quoted by Eurosport.com
