As expected, almost all of the senior English players who are scheduled to be part of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 have left for the UK. England is scheduled to play a home series against Pakistan prior to the major competition and the board wants the squad to be ready for the tournament through this series.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be without two of their most promising overseas players for the final Indian Premier League match and play-offs (if they are able to qualify). This is surely going to be a massive problem for the franchise since Will Jacks had cemented his place in the starting XI and now they have a vacant number three position. Let’s take a look at three players who can replace Will Jacks in the RCB line-up.

Here are 3 Players who can replace Will Jacks in RCB squad for IPL 2024:

3. Mayank Dagar

The bowling all-rounder was traded prior to the start of the season from the Sunrisers Hyderabad with all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed moving in the other direction. He started a few games initially in the tournament but was later dropped due to some changes in the combination.

However, this might be a great opportunity to start the off-spinner who can also contribute with the bat. The franchise can play him up top and experiment like KKR did with Sunil Narine or they can increase their batting depth if he replaces Jacks in the playing XI.

2. Alzarri Joseph

The marquee signing during the Indian Premier League 2024 Auctions for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru was Alzarri Joseph. He was signed for a mammoth 10.50 crores and a lot of expectations were shouldered upon him to lead the bowling attack. However, it has not been a great tournament so far for the pacer as he has failed to take many wickets and his economy has been pretty high.

With the pitch at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium preferring fast bowlers more often than not. The franchise can take a left-field approach to this situation and increase their much-criticized bowling attack with a tall fast bowler like Joseph.

1. Glenn Maxwell

At the start of this Indian Premier League season, Maxwell was touted to be the X-factor player for the franchise. However, this had been a less-than-ideal season for the all-rounder and was ultimately left out of the team. He had also stated that he would not be available for the team until he felt mentally fit.

Since Jack is gone now, Maxwell will be the ideal player to reclaim the position that he held at the start of the tournament. He would be looking to end the campaign in a much better fashion and hope that he can leave the tournament with certainly better form.
