Somerset vs Glamorgan & Yorkshire vs Lancashire – 37th & 38th Match
The T20 Blast 2026 continues with two exciting clashes on June 5. Somerset will take on Glamorgan in the 37th Match at Taunton, while Yorkshire face Lancashire in the 38th Match at Headingley, Leeds. Both fixtures feature experienced internationals, explosive batters, and quality bowling attacks.
Somerset will rely on Tom Banton, Lewis Gregory, Daniel Sams, and Craig Overton to lead the charge. Their squad possesses a strong balance of batting depth and all-round quality. Glamorgan have key players such as Kiran Carlson, James Neesham, Chris Cooke, and Daniel Douthwaite. With Neesham’s experience and Carlson’s leadership, Glamorgan have enough firepower to challenge the hosts.
The Taunton pitch is generally batting-friendly with short boundaries and a quick outfield. Bowlers often find it difficult to contain runs, making 180-200 a competitive total.
Yorkshire look dangerous with Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Adam Lyth, and George Hill in their lineup. Their blend of experience and power-hitting gives them an edge in home conditions. Lancashire, meanwhile, will depend on Keaton Jennings, Ben McDermott, Saqib Mahmood, and Chris Green. Their balanced attack and experienced batting unit make them a tough opponent.
The Headingley pitch often offers assistance to seam bowlers early in the innings, but batters can capitalize once they settle. A score of around 170-190 could prove competitive at this venue.
Prediction: Somerset 56% – Glamorgan 44%, Yorkshire 52% – Lancashire 48%
