The three-match T20I series is currently tied at 1-1 after PNG Women won the one-over eliminator in the second match. Batting first, the home side posted 119-6 in 20 overs. Modester Mupachikwa and captain Mary-Anne Musonda played brilliant innings for ZIM-W. In reply, Pauke Siaka’s match-winning knock of 33-ball 43 helped the visitors to level the total, despite a final over drama involving two run outs.
Zimbabwe could only score six runs in the Super Over, which PNG-W easily overcame to push the series to a decider. Notably, the hosts won the opening match by a massive margin of eight wickets. They also whitewashed the ODI series 3-0, so a win on Tuesday will be crucial for Papua New Guinea.
