RCB vs RR Dream11 Prediction, IPL Fantasy Cricket Tips, Playing XI, Pitch Report & Injury Updates For Eliminator of IPL 2024

Check out all the details for the first eliminator match of IPL 2024 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals.

Preview

RCB vs RR will face off each other in the first eliminator game on Wednesday. Sanju Samson and Faf Du Plessis know that one mistake will spell the end of their tournament. The winner of the game will play the second playoff game in Chennai on Friday against the loser of the Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Sunrisers game.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) began the IPL 2024 season well but seemed to lose momentum with four losses in four games. At one stage in the tournament, the Royals were top of the table before slipping to second. SRH’s win over PBKS and the eventual washout against KKR meant that RR could only finish third in the table.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and their resurgence during the IPL 2024 season have been stuff of legends. From being almost on the cusp of elimination to winning five matches in a row, RCB performed a remarkable turnaround. Needing to win the final game of the season by a minimum of 18 runs, RCB scored 218 runs and contained CSK to just 191 to win by 27 runs and seal a spot in the playoffs.

Weather Report: Clear Sky

Win Prediction: Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Pitch Condition: Batting

Avg 1st Inning Score: 176

Pitch Report

The last time Royal Challengers Bengaluru played at this venue, they scored an easy win against Gujarat Titans, with Will Jacks scoring a ton. That was a day game, but the evening games are different. Winning the toss and batting first will be on the minds of the two skippers, with the evening conditions much better suited to the pacers with good swing in the air.

Captains: 9

Virat RCB | bat

In the must win game against CSK, Virat Kohli played a small but crucial innings to help RCB on their way to a huge score. With yet another season with the bat where Kohli has scored over 600 runs, RCB fans will hope their form skipper can keep the form going.

Yashasvi Jaiswal RR | bat

Left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is a huge player for the Royals side. The youngster is a big match player and will want to come good with the bat and send RCB packing home by taking their bowlers to the cleaners. Faf Du Plessis knows the threat Jaiswal brings to the table and will want to dimiss him early to deal Royals a huge blow.

Faf du Plessis RCB | bat

RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis has been one of the reasons why his team has been doing well this season in the second half. The veteran batter has been batting well and is one of the most feared players in the powerplay overs and is also a dangerous fielder as seen during the game against CSK.

Sanju Samson RR | WK

Two years ago when Sanju Samson played at this venue in a knockout game, he witnessed Gujarat Titans take home the title. This time the 29-year-old will want to bury the ghosts of the past with the bat as well as the keeper and lead his team to the second playoff. Samson for the first time in IPL has scored over 500 runs to make it a successful season for himself.

Rajat Patidar RCB | BAT

Indian batter Rajat Patidar has this season been one of the best players for RCB. The 30-year-old has been one of the key players while batting at number three and his aggressive outlook has put many bowlers on the backfoot. Rajat Patidar has been one of the most dangerous batters this season along with Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli

Riyan Parag RR | BAT

Rajasthan Royals sensation Riyan Parag knows that he has to end the season in the same vein he had started it. The youngster will want to make yet another statement in the game against RCB as a match-winning knock will propel him close to national selecton.

Trent Boult RR | bowl

If there is one threat for the RCB with the new ball, it comes from Trent Boult. The Kiwi seamer has the best numbers when it comes to dismissing a batter in the first over. Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli will be wary of this fact and will want to be cautious against the Kiwi star.

Yash Dayal RCB | bowl

RCB will yet again hope that Yash Dayal can become the hero with the ball just like he had done against CSK. Yash Dayal will also want to bowl well because he was smashed for 5 sixes by Rinku SIngh at the same venue and he will want to put that behind him.

Yuzvendra Chahal RR | bowl

Former RCB star Yuzvendra Chahal has spoken about his hurt at being released from the franchise. The game on Wednesday will provide Chahal to take wickets and prove a point against his former teammates.
