Unbeaten in the league stage, Oman finished as table toppers in Group B with eight points and an excellent net run rate of +2.149. The Middle East side opened their campaign with a narrow 3-run win over Bahrain and their latest win was against Kuwait by a margin of 46 runs.
Hong Kong, on the other hand, finished second among the Group A contenders after winning two out of four matches. They had an inconsistent run in the tournament, winning the first and last games but losing two in the middle. They are coming on the back of a seven-wicket victory over Malaysia.
