In the opening game of the Women Premier League (WPL) 2026, Mumbai Indians Women (MI W) are set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB W). The Mumbai Indians women’s had performed outstandingly in the last season and won the title by defeating the Delhi Capitals Women in the final. So, this time too, they will try their best to defend the title by performing brilliantly and would like to start this season with a win in the very first match.
On the other hand, Champions of WPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, didn’t perform well last season, winning just three out of eight matches and failed to qualify for the playoffs. So they will be looking to get off to a good start this season.
