Kerala will lock horns with Bengal in the 100th match of the Ranji Trophy 2024 at St Xavier’s College Ground in Thumba on Friday (February 9). Kerala have drawn four games so far out of five. Bengal have won one out of five games with three being drawn.

Kerala played their last match against Chattisgarh, where they posted 350 on the board. Sachin Baby 91 (180) and Mohammed Azharuddin 85 (104) were the top scorers of the innings. Chattisgarh were able to score 312 in their first innings as Eknath Kerkar scored 118 runs off 214 balls. Kerala declared their second innings on 251-5 as Sachin Baby again top-scored with 94 runs off 128 balls. Chattisgarh scored 79-1 in the second innings, and the match was drawn.

Bengal played their previous game against Mumbai, where Mumbai scored 412 in their first innings. Suryansh Shegde 71 (76) and skipper Shivam Dube 72 (73) were the top contributors. Bengal were bundled out for 199 in their first innings as Anustup Majumdar scored 108 (127). Follow-on was imposed and Bengal scored 209 in the second innings and lost the game by an innings and four runs.
