Preview
Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 35 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The two are scheduled to meet on Saturday, April 20 at DC’s home ground – the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Marking the start of the second half of the tournament, both teams will aim to get off to a good start.
Delhi won their last game by six wickets against Gujarat Titans (GT) in a low-scoring encounter. A remarkable bowling effort saw GT getting bowled out for just 89 runs in 17.3 overs. Despite minor hiccups in the chase, DC managed to cross the finish line with the loss of four wickets in 8.5 overs.
With this impressive win, DC moved up to the sixth position in the points table with six points. On the other hand, SRH are currently fourth in the table after some dominant displays. Their last match was against a hapless Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), in which they bettered their own record for the highest IPL total with a humongous 287 on the board. Pat Cummins and Co. overcame Dinesh Karthik’s brilliant counter-attack to record their fourth win of the season by 25 runs.
