Pakistan (PAK) take on Hong Kong, China (HKG) in Quarterfinal 1 of the Men’s Asian Games 2026 cricket event at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin on Monday, September 28. 

Pakistan come into this tournament with an inexperienced yet strong side and will be looking to make a significant mark. Led by captain Sahibzada Farhan and with reliable options in the side such as Maaz Sadaqat, Abrar Ahmed, Sufyan Moqim and Saim Ayub, they will be looking to get their campaign off to a flying start.

Hong Kong, China made their way into the quarterfinals after taking a win and a loss each from the group stage. They were beaten by Malaysia by eight wickets in a low-scoring affair, before they beat Oman by 41 runs to seal their place in the quarters. They will be looking to cause a significant upset against one of the continent’s major powerhouses.

The pitch is expected to play on the slower end, helping spinners, with batters struggling to score as fluently as they would want.
