But scoring a hundred is even more remarkable in T20 cricket as there are very limited balls to do so. however, there are a few batters who just make every ball count and smash some record-breaking knocks. Today in this article we will discuss the top three fastest centuries in T20 internationals for Test playing nations.

The South Africa superstar David Miller holds the record for the quickest T20I century. On October 29, 2017, South Africa was playing against Bangladesh at Potchefstroom. As South Africa scored 224 for 4 while batting first Miller who batted in beast mode scored unbeaten 101 runs.  Miller scored his century off just 35 balls while hitting seven fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 280.55. In his support, Hashim Amla blazed 85 runs off 51 balls. In response, Bangladesh crumbled for 141 in 18.3 overs, giving South Africa an 83-run victory.

India skipper Rohit Sharma is one of the most aggressive batters in the limited overs of the game. During the Sri Lanka tour of India Rohit was leading his side in absence of Virat Kohli. On December 22, 2017, at Indore, Rohit Sharma accomplished the feat of the fastest T20I century while he hammered Lankan bowlers. India batted first, and the opener quickly reached his hundred off just 35 balls before falling for 118 runs. 

Rohit’s innings featured 12 fours and 10 sixes as he batted for a strike rate of 274.41. In the end, India scored 260 for 5, with KL Rahul contributing 89 from 49 balls. In the same tour during the ODI series, Rohit hammered his 3rd Double-ton in the ODIs becoming the first to do so.

3. Hazratullah Zazai (42 Balls Vs Ireland, 2019)

On February 23, 2019, in a T20I in Dehradun, the stalwart of Afghanistan Hazratullah Zazai hammered Ireland by scoring 100 runs in just 42 balls. After winning the toss Afghanistan opted to bat first, and Zazai blasted an unbeaten 162 from 62 balls. his innings included 11 fours and 16 sixes. He scored runs at a strike rate of 261.29. 

Zazai added 236 runs for the first wicket along with Usman Ghani, who made 73 from 48 balls. Afghanistan scored a significant 278 for 3 in the 20 overs. in response, Ireland tried to put up a show but failed to win the game. While chasing team finished on 194 for 6 despite captain and opener Paul Stirling’s brilliant 50-ball 91.
