The second wicket was that of Mitch Hay who was caught by Kusal Mendis for 49. The final wicket was that of Ish Sodhi who was stumped by Mendis for 9 to cap off an amazing day with the ball;. 

2. Jefferey Vandersay 

Veteran leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay has continued his sublime form with the ball as he picked 3/ 46 from his 10 overs. The 34-year-old who picked 6/33 against India just a few months ago yet again had the Kiwis in a spin. Vandersay began with the key scalp of Will Young for 26. This was followed by the wickets of skipper Mitchell Santner for 6 and Nathan Smith for a golden duck. 

1. Kusal Mendis

Sri Lankan wicket keeper and batter Kusal Mendis led the chase with 74 off 102 balls as he stayed not out. There was a little cause for concern when Mendis seemed to be injured but recovered to help his side win the game. His knock consisted of six hits to the fence and he was given the man of the match award for his knock as well.
