The Indian T20 League’s top wicket-taker receives the Purple Cap. The Purple Cap is worn by the season’s leading wicket-taker when playing defense. The Purple Cap has been won by many great players over the years but there are very few people who have done so on more than one occasion. 

The most wickets (32) were taken by Dwayne Bravo and Harshal Patel during a single competition. For any bowler in the Indian T20 League, the Purple Cap has been the most coveted honor. Only a small number of athletes have had the honor of taking home the Purple Cap since the league and award’s inception in 2008.

3) Harshal Patel – 1 (32 wickets – 2021)

In the Indian T20 League, Harshal Patel ended up being the first player from the Bangalore squad to be awarded the Purple Cap. His record-breaking 32 wickets in 15 games, at a rate of 14.34, contributed significantly to Bangalore’s fourth-place league victory. His finest performance against Mumbai was 5 for 27.

When Bravo took 26 wickets in 2015, he made history as the first pacer in Indian T20 League records to earn the purple cap twice. Bravo had an uncannily identical season to his outstanding 2013 when his bowling exploits propelled Chennai to the top of the standings.
