Top 3 players who played for RCB and PBKS 

The Indian Premier League 2025 has reached the halfway point, and all teams are under pressure to improve their points table standings to secure a playoff spot. In match no. 37th of Indian Premier League (IPL), Punjab Kings will again face Royal Challengers Bengaluru after defeating them in their home stadium. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s performance has declined. The team will be disappointed

Sharma can finish games and perform key stages of the game. His cameos helped PBKS in a few matches. Before joining RCB, Jitesh Sharma spent two IPL seasons with PBKS. During the mega auction for IPL 2025, RCB picked Jitesh Sharma for Rs. 11 crores. In this IPL, he is showing a lot of talent. 

2. Glenn Maxwell

In the auction of IPL 2014, PBKS picked Glenn Maxwell for Rs. 6 crore. He played three seasons for them. In his first season with the team, he smashed 552 runs from 16 games and played the IPL final against KKR. Later, he went to the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). But in again 2020 season, Punjab Kings picked him during the auction. However, due to poor form in that season, PBKS did not retain him for the next season, which led to his joining RCB in 2021. From IPL 2021 to 2024, he had a good run with the team. He was a game-changer in RCB with bat and ball. For IPL 2025, PBKS again went to Maxwell and got him back for Rs. 4.2 crore in the mega auction. In six games, he scored 41 runs and picked up 4 wickets. 

3. Yuzvendra Chahal

He began his IPL career with the Mumbai Indians. But in Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he got a chance to make his name. With 139 wickets in 113 games over eight seasons, he rose to the top of the RCB’s wicket-takers list. His dream season came in 2016 as he finished the second-highest wicket-taker with 21 wickets and was crucial in their maiden title run. Ahead of the 2025 IPL Punjab Kings picked him for Rs. 18 crores during the mega auction. As PBKS has high hopes to win their first title, the team will be relying on his expertise and ability to take wickets.
