Southee’s four-wicket outing in this particular contest was all about landing the ball in the right areas. A double-wicket over first up in the second over of the innings ensured Pakistan were on the back foot. His sharpness did not reduce even in the death, where Southee claimed his fourth wicket of the game. He received the Player of the Match award for his superb spell as well as two catches.
