This was one of the most well-paced innings of Ganguly in the context of the match. He anchored the Indian innings right till the end after they had won the toss and opted to bat first against the Proteas in the second semi-final of the ICC KnockOut Trophy (now called Champions Trophy). His 142-ball knock at the Gymkhana Club Ground in Nairobi comprised a total of 11 fours and six sixes. India eventually ended up winning the game by 95 runs to book their berth in the final of the tournament.

3) 124 off 138 vs Pakistan (1998)

He could not quite stay till the end of the game. However, his knock was enough to grant India a three-wicket win with one ball to spare. Ganguly was also awarded the Player of the Match award.
