It was the best bowling effort by an Indian bowler in the tournament. Binny took a total of nine wickets in the tournament and finished as the second-highest wicket-taker.

3. 57 vs Australia in Ahmedabad, 1984

In the fourth match of the Australia tour of India, Binny opened the innings with Ravi Shastri, and the duo added 104 runs for the first wicket. It was the fourth-highest opening partnership for India at that time. Binny scored 57 runs off 88 deliveries, his only half-century in ODIs.
