It was the second five-wicket haul by an Indian spinner in the ODI World Cup.

Jadeja took two wickets for 24 runs in the final of the 2013 Champions Trophy. He remained unbeaten on 33 runs off 25 deliveries. He won the Player of the Match award and helped India win the tournament. Jadeja finished as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

60* vs Sri Lanka – Colombo, 2009

Jadeja batted in the 8th position in his debut game against Sri Lanka. India were chasing a target of 321 runs and Jadeja remained unbeaten on 60 runs off 77 deliveries. It is still the highest score by an Indian batter on debut against Sri Lanka.
