1. Maiden Test Century vs India, 1992-93

Cronje made his Test debut in 1992 against the West Indies. His first century came in his third outing against India during the first innings of the third Test in 1992. Cronje faced 410 deliveries and finished with 135 runs, which remained his highest individual score in Test matches.
2. Half-century vs West Indies, Dhaka, 1999

In the final of the ICC Knockout Trophy 1999, the West Indies scored 245 runs before getting bundled out in 49.3 overs. South Africa lost two wickets inside the first 10 overs. They lost the wicket of Jacques Kallis in the 21st over, who was the best performer for the team in the tournament. No batter managed to score more than 30 runs for the team. However, Cronje remained in the middle and finished the job for the team. He remained unbeaten on 61 runs off 77 deliveries and hit four boundaries. His knock meant the Proteas won their first ICC trophy.
3. ODI Century vs Australia, 1994

The year 1994 was when Cronje announced his arrival at the international level. In 29 ODI matches that year, he scored 1133 runs at an average of 43.57. He became the first Proteas batter to score over 1000 runs in a year in ODIs. His maiden ODI century came that year only against Australia during the first ODI match at Johannesburg. Cronje made 112 runs off 120 deliveries and South Africa won the match by five runs after posting a total of 232 runs for the loss of three wickets. Cronje won one his five Player of the Match awards against Australia in this game. Till this date, no other Proteas player has won more Player of the Match awards against Australia in ODIs.
