3. 148 vs Scotland, Edinburgh, 2013

Australia and Scotland clashed in a one-off ODI in Edinburgh in 2013, and Scotland captain Preston Mommsen won the toss and chose to field first. Australian openers Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh made merry, adding 246 runs for the first wicket. Marsh made 151 with 16 fours and five sixes, while Aaron Finch, who was new in international cricket, hammered 148 in 114 balls with 16 fours and seven sixes.

Finch showcased how well he could hit the ball and score quickly in the white-ball format. Australia posted 362/3 in 50 overs. In reply, Scotland managed 162, with Mitchell Johnson taking 4/36, as the opposition lost the game by 200 runs.

2. 153 vs. Sri Lanka, The Oval, ICC World Cup 2019

Australia met Sri Lanka in the 20th game of the ICC World Cup 2019 at the Oval. Sri Lanka won the toss and fielded first. Australia lost David Warner (26) and Usman Khawaja (10) early, but captain Aaron Finch and Steve Smith (73) added 173 runs for the third wicket.

Finch continued on and hammered 153 runs in 132 balls with 15 fours and five sixes as Australia posted 334/7. Despite Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne’s 97 and Kusal Perera’s 57 and their 115-run opening partnership, Sri Lanka only managed 247 runs. Mitchell Starc took 4/55, and Kane Richardson took three wickets as Australia won by 87 runs.

1. 153* vs. Pakistan, Sharjah, 2019

Australia and Pakistan met in the second ODI of the five-match series in Sharjah in March 2019. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Mohammad Rizwan scored 115, while captain Shoaib Malik made 60 runs as Pakistan made 284/7 in 50 overs.

In response, Usman Khawaja made 88, adding 209 runs for the opening wicket with Aaron Finch. However, it was Finch who took the game away from Pakistan, hammering 153* in 143 balls with 11 fours and six sixes as Australia won the game by eight wickets.
