Top 3 performances by Kagiso Rabada in Test Cricket

South African star cricketer Kagiso Rabada has been known as one of the most destructive bowlers in the history of cricket. He has single-handedly guided his side to some epic wins, especially in Test cricket.

The right-arm pacer made his Test debut on November 5, 2015, against India and has played 61 Test matches so far, with 287 scalps to his name. In the same spirit, these are his top three test knocks:

1. 7/112 vs England, Centurion, 2016

Kagiso Rabada’s top Test knock came during the fourth Test match against England, which was played from January 22 to 26, 2016 in Centurion. The right-arm pacer had scalped seven wickets in the first innings and guided his side to win the game. Speaking about the game here, the hosts posted 475 and 248 runs in the first and second innings, respectively. However, during the chase, England were all out for 342 and 101 runs, which helped the Proteas lose the Test by 280 runs.

2. 5/96 vs Australia, Gqberha, 2018

His second-best Test spell came during the second Test match against Australia, which took place from March 9 to 12, 2018. The great seamer had scalped five wickets and single-handedly destroyed Australia’s batting line-up to help his side win the game by six wickets. Speaking about the game, Australia made 243 and 239 runs in the first and second innings, respectively. However, during the chase, South Africa made 382 and 102/4, which helped them win the Test game against strong visiting sides.

3. 5/52 vs England, Lord’s, 2022

Rabada’s third-best spell came during the first Test match against England, which took place from August 17 to 19, 2022, at Lords. Kagiso Rabada had scalped five wickets while conceiving 52 runs and single-handedly defeated the hosts to win the game. Speaking about the game here, the Ben Stokes-led team posted 165 and 149 runs in the first and second innings, respectively. However, during the chase, South made 326 runs, which helped them win the Test match by an innings and 12 runs.
