CSK has always been a consistent team in the IPL and have won five trophies. However, in 2010, CSK won their first trophy, which was extremely important to them since they had lost the first finals in 2008. It was a crucial match for CSK and was against Mumbai Indians. Suresh Raina played a brilliant innings and helped the team win the match. Skipper Dhoni also played well, which was a wonderful thing. 

2. 84 runs off 48 balls in 2019 against RCB

MS Dhoni walked into bat when CSK were 28 for four in the 6th over. He played an impressive innings of 84 runs off 48 balls, which helped CSK win the match against RCB. He scored 24 runs in the last five balls of the over, which was unbelievable. He was an efficient back then who could hit the bowlers all around the ground. 

3. 20 runs off four balls against Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians are CSK’s arch-rivals and scoring against them is almost equal to winning a game against them. In 2024, MS Dhoni came into bat with only four balls left. He scored three sixes and two runs off Hardik Pandya in those four balls. Interestingly, CSK won the game against MI by 20 runs. Hence, MSD’s score helped CSK win the match.
