92 vs Gujarat Titans, 2023

The swashbuckling opener started his campaign in the last season with this cracker of a batting knock against Gujarat Titans in the season opener. It was almost a solo effort from Ruturaj to carry his team to 178 runs in the first innings. The 27-year-old scored 92 runs off just 50 deliveries. 

No other batter from Chennai could match Gaikwad on that day which resulted in a par score to chase for a strong Gujarat batting order. Eventually, Hardik Pandya’s Titans won the match by 5 wickets.
