The match No. 38th of IPL 2023 saw Punjab Kings taking on Lucknow Super Giants at IS Bindra Stadium at Mohali. Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and elected to field first. Sending Lucknow Super Giants to bat first Kagiso Rabada got an earlier breakthrough as he got wicket of KL Rahul as he got out on 12 runs. As the match went on Lucknow Super Giants posted a total of 257 runs at 5 wickets. Kyle Mayers and Marcus Stoinis scored half centuries. While Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni 43 runs and 45 runs respectively. In reply to this, the Punjab Kings managed to score 201 runs before getting all out. Atharva Taide was the only batter to score 66 runs. Lucknow Super Giants easily won the match by 56 runs.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Pune Warriors India – 263 runs

It was the afternoon game in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Royal Challengers Bangalore were taking on Pune Warriors India in match No.31. Pune Warriors India won the toss and chose to field first. Going to bat first RCB opener Chris Gayle started to knock the ball for sixes and four while Tillakaratne Dilshan stayed calm on the other end. RCB lost their first wicket on 167 runs on the scoreboard as Tillakaratne Dilshan was dismissed on 33 runs, but Chris Gayle scored a century and was not in mood of stopping. While AB de Villiers scored 31 runs from 8 balls. RCB posted 263 runs for 5 wickets as Chris Gayle scored 165 runs. In reply to the chase the huge score Pune Warriors India was bundled on 133 runs. The game was won by Royal Challengers Bangalore by 130 runs.

In the 8th match of IPL 2024 Sunrisers Hyderabad were facing Mumbai Indians in Rajeev Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Both the teams were led by new captains. Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumabi Indians, won the toss and chose to field first. Mumbai Indians got an early breakthrough as opener Mayank Agarwal was dismissed on 11 runs by Hardik Pandya. But Travis Head changed the gear and scored 62 runs from 24 balls before getting out to Gerald Coetzee. While Abhishek Sharma also scored 63 runs from 23 balls. Later Heinrich Klaasen took on his full power and scored 80 runs from 34 balls. He smashed 7 sixes and 4 fours. Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored 277 runs to chase down Mumbai Indians. In reply to score only Tilak Verma scored 64 runs while other batter failed to reach 50 runs mark. The Mumbai Indians managed to score only 246 runs as 20 overs were bowled. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by 31 runs.
